An Khanh Ward is a newly formed administrative unit resulting from the merger of Binh Khanh Ward and Binh An Ward. Covering an area of 402 hectares, An Khanh Ward has a population of over 26,000 people, with a density exceeding 6,600 people/km². The former An Khanh Ward (formerly part of District 2), combined with the former Thu Thiem Ward, has become the new Thu Thiem Ward, covering an area of 325 hectares with a population of 428 people (2021 data).
An Khanh Ward benefits from its transportation network, with several key arterial roads such as Tran Nao, Luong Dinh Cua, Tran Bach Dang Crescent Boulevard, Nguyen Co Thach, and Mai Chi Tho. This ensures easy connectivity to Ho Chi Minh City’s central areas and surrounding regions.
